Project Challenges
Steel is sold on specification — grades, dimensions, tolerances — and specification tables are where most industrial interfaces stop being usable.
The constraints here come from the material and from the people who buy it.
- Dense specification – Every product carries more attributes than fit on a screen, so hierarchy matters more than layout.
- Comparison is the task – Buyers rarely look at one product, so the interface has to hold several side by side.
- A trade audience – The people using it know the material better than any interface copy could explain it, so plain labels beat marketing language.

We designed the specification table as the primary object rather than as a footnote, and built the components to survive long product names and unusual units.
