Project Challenges
A minority language has almost no learning material online, and what does exist is scattered across documents that were never designed to be studied from.
Building for a language rather than for a market changes which constraints matter.
- Thin source material – Lessons have to be built alongside the content rather than laid over an existing curriculum.
- Script and pronunciation – Written form alone does not teach a language that is mostly spoken, so audio belongs in the lesson rather than beside it.
- Modest devices – The audience is not on new hardware or fast connections, which sets the ceiling on assets and bundle size.
What we built
We built the smallest useful lesson loop first — a short unit, practised, repeated — and made the content structure something contributors can add to without a developer.
