Project Challenges
Selling and stock-keeping are usually two systems that disagree, and reconciling them is somebody's evening.
A counter is an unforgiving place to put software.
- One source of stock – Every sale, return and delivery has to move the same number, or the count drifts within a week.
- Counter speed – A queue does not wait for a form, so the sale path has to be the fastest thing in the product.
- Offline reality – Connections drop mid-transaction, and the till still has to work.
What we built
We made the sale and the stock movement the same event, so inventory is a consequence of trading rather than a separate task someone has to remember.

Project Summary
